The key arguments in the article are that the cloud of threats hovering over India is more dangerous than corona-virus. Corona will go sooner or later but the politics based on majoritarianism, religiosity, depriving the marginalized communities of whatever little they have won from the state is threatening the fabric of country.
A brief view of the national movements is given in the article. It is argued that those who were nowhere in the anti-colonial struggles are today teaching us the lesson of nationalism.
